第40講座 関係代名詞 目的格

高校で学ぶ文法は中学校で習う文法のどちらかと言うと枝葉の部分になります。
つまり、中学生の英語はそれほど重要で奥が深いということです。
しっかりと、理屈を身に着け「カチッとした、かたい英語」を身につけよう！
表現にこったり、クールな言い回しから、いったん離れましょう。

関係代名詞 目的格
さあ、始めよう！ 考え方は、関係代名詞の主格と所有格とまったく同じだぁ！
2文を1文に繋げてみよう！
例
| 彼女は少女です。 | 私は昨日彼女を見た。 |
| She is the girl . 先行詞になる名詞は「the girl」で「人」 |
I saw her at the party yesterday . 関係代名詞に変える代名詞は「her」で目的格 |
共通の“普通名詞”と“”代名詞を探せ！ありましたか？そうだね赤文字の部分だ。
関係代名詞の表がを忘れてしまった人は、関係代名詞の最初のところで確認しておこう！
あとは簡単！ 1文にすると・・・
先行詞が「the girl」人で、関係代名詞に変える代名詞が目的格の「her」
She is the girl whom I saw her at the party yesterday .
彼女は 私が昨日パーティで会った少女 です。
※「her」が「目的格」なので使う「関係代名詞は目的格」、「先行詞」が人なので“whom”を使う。
関係代名詞を含む節が the girlを修飾するように、訳せばよい。
例2
| これは腕時計です。 | 私は昨日それを買いました。 |
| This is the watch . 先行詞になる名詞は「the watch」で物 |
I bought it yesterday . 関係代名詞に変える代名詞は「it」で目的格 |
共通の“普通名詞”と“”代名詞を探せ！ありましたか？そうだね、赤文字の部分だ。
1文にすると・・・
This is the watch which I bought it yesterday .
これは 私が昨日買った腕時計 です。
例3
| この車はかっこいいです。 | 彼はそれを昨日使いました。 |
| This car is cool . | He used it yesterday . |
赤文字部分が共通部分の“普通名詞”と“代名詞”だ！This carは物、itは目的格の代名詞。
だから・・・1文にすると、
This car which he used it yesterday is cool .になる。
彼が昨日使ったこの車は かっこいいです。

○She is the girl whom I saw at the party yesterday .
＝ She is the girl I saw at the party yesterday .
○This is the watch which I bought yesterday .
= This is the watch I bought yesterday .
○This car which he used yesterday is cool .
= This car he used yesterday is cool .
そうです、目的格の関係代名詞は接触節で書き換えが可能です。
英語の超上級者の知識《前置詞+関係代名詞》
難関私立高校、大学センター試験の初歩
例 This is the house . + They live in it .
→ This is the house which they live in it . 正解
→ This is the house that they live in it . 正解
→ This is the house in which they live it . 正解
→ This is the house in that they live it . 間違い
例 She is the girl . + I spoke of her the other day .
→ She is the girl whom I spoke of her the other day . 正解
→ She is the girl that I spoke of her the other day . 正解
→ She is the girl of whom I spoke her the other day . 正解
→ She is the girl of that I spoke her the other day . 間違い
※関係代名詞のthatは《前置詞+関係代名詞》では使えない！
